SUSPECT ARRESTED IN THE MURDER OF UB GRAD STUDENT

Sad story of Javon Jackson, who was was shot just hours after he graduated with an engineering degree from UB this month.

A 20-year old Amherst man was arrested late this morning(May 27th) in the fatal shooting of Jackson. DaMario Cordelius was charged with second-degree murder after confessing to shooting Jackson, 23, a University Heights resident, about 3 a.m. May 10 on Main Street while he was out celebrating his graduation hours early.
