I am just now hearing about this lil brother. According to ChicagoBreakingNews.com....

On Sept. 25, dozens of teenage boys converged in a vacant lot next to The Agape Community Center in Chicago, beating one another with fists, feet and 2-by-4s.

When it was all over, 16-year-old Derrion Albert lay on the gravel, his body dented and damaged from the pummeling. A youth worker at the center dragged Derrion's slight frame into the center, but it was too late. He died a short time later.

I was reading somewhere, and it commented that "Darrion Albert: The Black On Black Crime Version of Emmit Till." They could have been right. Several reports say that he was jumped because he refused to be initiated or join a gang around that area.

Most of the time with cases like this, you don't that many entertainers speaking up, but I got to give props to by boy NAS. Standing up like a real man, he wrote a letter to all young people telling them to stop the craziness and do better....check out the vid...
